Dry eye treatment

 

Dry eye is normally caused by a condition called Miebomian gland dysfunction

This youtube video explains it well allthough the treatment they are suggesting is a bit more extreme than the method we use.

 

I examine the eyelids under very high magnification looking for blockages in the meibomian glands.

Heat normally appled with something like an eyebag which is heated in a microwave and omega (fish oil) supplements will tend to work well in most cases
